  6. It’s mainly Bono that gets the hate and the reason for this is he isn’t afraid to voice his opinion. He’s also a confident and wealthy individual so add all these things up and there’s going to be haters. Thankfully actions speak louder than words and the work he has done now will live on well beyond the years that he spends on this planet. He realises that to simply donate to charity wouldn’t have the lasting effect that putting the work in to promote these charities does. I think these non music matters then have an influence on how people view u2 as a whole and there music and generally makes them an easy target for people to dislike which is fine but the hate for the individuals is not fine.

Big is bad the bigger the star the bigger the target.Their Tax arrangements is a major bone of contention for the haters they see Bono pontificating about the 3rd world and asking governments for more money for foreign aid while he lives the life of a very wealthy Rock star mainly in the South of France yes we know it's not as straight forward as that but try telling that to someone who doesn't like U2,the Apple gate fiasco annoyed a lot of people it was a bold move that probably gained them more fans even the guys in the hood who probably never listen to Rock let alone U2 have a copy of SOI on their IPhone whether they liked it or not is another matter.
