1. He's been rich since 1986, he doesn't know better.

  2. The money they made with it went to charities.

    Edit, double post?

  4. What have you done to fight poverty recently?

The only thing that makes me cringe about U2 are some of their fans.

  5. Seriously? That picture doesn't make you cringe one bit?

Recently? I work with and for 2 school projects in Madagascar and support an initiative that pays local workers european wages in the same country. On a less direct way, I made contact to a local school project in Togo and arranged a place for a volunteer to work there for 12 months. That's it for now.

Sorry for not blindly following Bono and his questionable approach. Sometimes it helps to look behind his speeches.
  7. Cypress you got owned
  8. it doesn't make me cringe at all. All I think is when I look at the picture is that it's a beautiful shot. That's all. Fighting poverty can't be a topic 24/7. It's just a pic and I like it.
  9. Owned is the perfect word for it. Cypress, you weren't expecting that, were you?

  10. The only thing i was thinking is... Bono you lucky bastard ! Being married with such a beautiful woman.

It's a pic for a campaign that brings together Louis Vuitton's "Core Values" and Edun. How much closer to Bono's Africa project can it get?

  12. They're wearing Edun clothes.

They wear their own Edun label apparel in the ad, which reflects a new partnership between the line and the LMVH group. The photo was taken by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz and will appear in several magazines and newspapers this fall.

Bono and Ali did not receive payment for appearing in the ads -- they donated their fees to the Chernobyl Children's Project International, Conservation Cotton Initiative and TechnoServe, which fosters enterprise in the developing world.

So, it's a good thing generally.
I also wanted to punch Bono in face in Turin when he started to talk about clothes before MOS, but what can you do. :/
