1. It is a large responsibility to have others livelihood dependent upon you.
  2. I don't know. I'm not denying that U2 have obligations, but I also don't buy into this notion that "they're touring because Live Nation is making them" - and not simply because they want to be doing it. I don't buy that U2 is going backstage saying "fuck I'm ready for this to be done". Sure they signed a contract and sure they have to fulfill the obligations of that contract, but they signed it knowing what they were signing up for, this ain't their first rodeo.

It all comes back to a subset of U2 fans who seem to think they know what's best for this band and they should be giving the orders lol. "No Sirius station, we want a new album, and we want it to be Passengers 2". It also doesn't help that these fans are negative and whiny as hell and it seems to be rampant right now (I say this as I'm whining about the whiners). It's getting annoying coming here and only seeing complaints.

  3. Yes they have employees. But some employees such as tech crew and just tied down to U2. When this tour is over they'll go work for someone else.

Well we can’t have you feeling like that now can we ? Just because I have an opposing but equally as passionate view about the band just like you and i have issues in large about aspects of the bands PR machine doesn't negate my right to express them !!!

The ship is rudderless and if I am the one to point it out in here ( the land of u2 fairyfloss u2 rainbows and u2 unicorns ) so be it !

If there is an issue with my view/views I’m sure the mods will silence me !

I welcome reading your opinion because it gives me another chance to laugh at the dramatic nature of it. As soon as the band do something you don’t like it’s the end of there career. A bad song, disaster. A bad performance, they’re finished. The members of u2 are human, they make mistakes, if you think at this stage a mistake is going to ruin there legacy you are quite literally insane. They turn up to Singapore with no big hit single in over a decade and can near enough sell out not 1 but 2 shows. They sell tens of thousands of tickets for every night of the tour making a fortune in countries they’ve not visited for more than 9 years. You completely underestimate where the band are at and it’s actually quite funny but only drifts into annoying because it becomes so relentless. But keep it coming anyway you’re only making yourself look stupid.
  7. There’s a Sirius topic to continue this discussion. Not here anymore please.
  8. To get the thread back on topic the latest news from the band is that they’re finished. This reliable news comes direct from Danial Gowans who states that as a result of failing to fulfil his particular needs and wants from the band they have spiralled towards insignificance. The people attending the shows weren’t really people but mannequin’s used to make the place look full and the band didn’t even perform it was a projection of them on stage while the real band members spent there time on holiday having failed to even rehearse for the tour. All the positive comments about the tour and any of the more recent material from the band has been band insiders trying to keep them relevant but unfortunately they have failed and there career is now over. Thank you Danial Gowan’s for this information.
