    Well they played the US so it is clearly meaningless ,many big international artists have played Saudi Arabia so why shouldn't U2?

  8. You could list reasons why they shouldn't play in America. You could list reasons why they shouldn't play in many of the countries that they do. Yet they still play there. Saudi will be no different.

    Lol exactly this, there’s reasons they don’t play certain places. Saudi is a rare case where they have lots of money and influence to get acts to come. It’s a very fine line, but there’s reasons why U2 hasn’t played in every country and those reasons range from beliefs to economic to general interest.
