I feel like Larry's the family man who isn't interested in being in public, and Adam is a very low key figure as well. Adam/Larry just doesn't garner the publicity that Edge and Bono do, either.
  2. Yep I agree if you ever see Adam in Dublin he will stop chat sign an autogrpaph and just go about his life like a normal Dubliner, as for larry he would rather be with his family or spending tme out on his fishing boat.

Thats true, but I meant that at diners like in the article which was posted here, it says only Bono and Edge went to diner. I wonder were are Adam and Larry then and why can they go with the whole band.

I also remember some pictures after the Istanbul gigs were only Edge and Bono (maybe Im remebering it wrong) were together with their wifes and Larry and Adam werent there.
  4. Well you dont have to spend every second together as a band. Maybe thats why they are holding up so long
  5. I don't think it's any stretch saying Bono and Edge's relationship is stronger than say the relationship between Bono and Adam, or Bono and Larry, or Edge and Adam and Edge and Larry. The two of them work on things together (spiderman), when reading things it seems like they always have the ideas of where things should go in terms of the band direction (but maybe that's just me). That being said, I do think they allow themselves to be viewed more frequently in the public eye than Adam and Larry do. Like Chris said, they're probably together so much on planes, soundchecks, writing processes, studio, that when on tour they like being apart when they can, and Adam and Larry I think just like being away from the public eye.
  6. Moreover, Larry and Adam are closer in the pure musical terms, they're the rhythmical basis of the band while Edge and Bono add melodies and lyrics. Hence their "separation", also in the real life. But I don't see Adam and Larry being as close as Edge and Bono are.
  7. For anyone in Melbourne looking to snag an autograph or picture, the guys are reportedly staying in the private villas up the top of Crown Towers.

  8. U2 perform for Hamish & Andy

U2 played a couple songs and sat down for a brief chat with Australian radio personalities Hamish & Andy on Friday in Melbourne. The band did acoustic versions of "Desire" and "Vertigo" in front of a surprised crowd at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. It was Hamish & Andy's last radio show and the live event was part of their "Thank You Tour" around the country.

[There's also a video of Hamish and Andy singing a song called "We're Better Than U2"]

  9. Does anyone know where Bono and the boys will be staying/venturing whilst they are in Sydney?

WILL.I.AM TO PRODUCE NEXT U2 ALBUM

Several media outlets reported today that The Black Eyed Peas front-man, Will.i.am, has signed on to produce a new U2 album. Apparently a friendship formed during the months that his band opened for U2 on the 360 tour last year.

    He told The Sun:

"...just being around Bono and the guys is inspiring. It's like how a government should be. Bono for president of the world, I say. I try and do good and my bit to help the world but Bono is on another level. My car's pretty cool but he has a spaceship."

There is no word yet on when this new partnership will liftoff, but Will.i.am did mention he played some of the songs he and Bono had been working on for George Clooney and Cindy Crawford (also guests at Bono's house) and they were "blown away."

George Clooney was blown away. This album is going to be a killer.
