    In this case the Pizza guy is 50, untrustworthy, has the look of opiate-driven delusion in his eyes and is touching himself under his little gray shorts.

    So I'll stir fry me some shit! If Bear Grylls can do it, so can I!
  6. so the edge finally had to be the spokesman for the group and say they have nothing left...? Acouple years before NLOTH they had rock sessions with rubin, a year before NLOTH bono said they struck a writing vein and had 50-60 songs for the new album, then the possibility of a follow up album, then the spiderman songs, then the club album... Then the unfortunate bono back injury, but oh wait the band said they were so excited to take advantage of the unexpected time off the road to do more recording. then more spiderman songs, and dangermouse working on the club album with the band, and the band saying they will be so excited to tour 2011 because they will have a new album with new songs to play...i feel like a landlord hollering for for rent when i haven't gotten any back rent...i aint gonna get none of it...I don't care when they put out an album, but with all this talk(hype) by the band, I'm starting to feel like they're jerking their fans around, like its all lip service and PR. this doesn't effect my willingness to drop money for concert or albums of theirs, but i have no willingness to elevate them to anything but music makers in the big machine...is that sad or what?

    Yep, that's what U2 always did since at least 1995... Just a few headlines and quotes to put these things into perspective:

    1996: Bad news for music fans and retailers alike: The breathlessly awaited new album from U2 is being delayed 'til 1997, according to a report in today's L.A. Times.

    1999: Edge spoke of the new album: "Yep, there is some fine tunes already finished for the album.
    "We're about two songs away from a classic U2 album," Bono added. "It's hard to leave it, actually. It's very exciting, you know, to be making a record with this group, I have to say."

    2001: Bono says, "We've started our album and it's going to blow your mind. It's real punk rock, with some great guitar sounds and some beautiful melodies. The band is so tight coming straight off tour.

    2002: U2 have revealed that they're aiming to have their new album completed and in the shops by early next summer.

    2006: Which is why, starting this week, he's clearing his schedule to begin working with the band on the follow-up to 2004's triple-platinum How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.

    2007: The guitarist also confirms that U2 are in the midst of recording a new album.

    2008: U2 manager Paul McGuinness has been dropping hints about the release of the new U2 album, which is provisionally planned for October.

    2009: Bono confirms next U2 album, a 'companion' to No Line on the Horizon, scheduled for 2009 release

    2010: U2 will have a new album out early in the new year, the band's manager Paul McGuinness has said.

    2011: We're not ready to commit to one particular direction, but we've so much new material.


    So, nothing new. And yet the bigger fansites slaughter the band. And you guys think I'm the U2 hater.

    To the masses, you're just too honest for the general eternally-optimistic crowd to accept. Nothing wrong with that at all, you've got me on your side.


  12. Am I the only person who isn't happy with the songs on this digital album? I have mostly all of them so why would I buy it? I know that I shouldn't expect to get something out of helping a cause, but if they had new, unreleased songs, or even remixes from the artists featured here it might make more money?
