1. the band in Berlin...... faraway so very close
  2. Some very nice shots there. A new One video sounds interesting.
  3. U2 - Achtung Baby .. that's enough to get excited

anyway not the translation but what @U2 reported

We should have known from The Edge's Tweet yesterday afternoon, that something was brewing in the band's old stomping grounds:

    "Hansa ballroom ceiling Berlin. http://twitpic.com/4si8cv"

According to reports from German news outlets, the band were filmed walking across the Friedrichsbrücke pedestrian bridge, and Bono at some point drove a green Trabant from a nearby cathedral to Hansa studios.

Of course, Hansa is where the band recorded the legendary album Achtung Baby, so there is speculation that they may be shooting footage for an anniversary edition of the work.

None of the nearby fans heard music at what they were told was a video shoot, but band members did sign autographs afterward. Newspapers report that the video will be "released by the end of the year."

  4. My German isnt what is used to be, but it says something like this:
Today all 4 members of U2 were in Berlin, perhaps because of the 20th aniversary of AB coming up. They have been seen in Trabants (cars))

    And then the Edit says:
In the evening the band went to Hansa Studios and they played One multiple times and also they might have shot a video for One.

I guess a German guy/girl is better in translating, but this is the main point.
  5. Cheers for the info guys, sounds promising. Hopefully they make a new Achtung Baby-esque song while they are there

  6. A new song? They promised a groundbreaking album almost 2 years ago, I think that one AB-esque song wouldn't make up for a whole album
  7. I really hope they will do something new there too, something that sounds like AB but then more modern. Re-recording One means that they are busy making a remasterd edition of AB.
