    The main criticism is that Bono does it extremely publicly. Many celebrities do it privately, trying not to gain attention to themselves being charitible, and that's one of the gripes with Bono, sometimes it comes across as him trying to get publicity through these actions.     he had always something to lose in terms of publicity for all his activities outside music but he never took care of that, always focused on his purposes and ideals

    where it was when the children died under the U.S bombs in Irak or Afganistan ?
    where it was when Palestinians die in Gaza under israélien raid ?

    I think it should remain in place away from politics because he forever be free...

    So...we should do what? Do you have a spare time machine so we can go back and un-drop those bombs and unspend that money? The situation in East Africa is real now and hindsight isn't terribly helpful.

    Sorry, but I find the idea that people think humanitarian work is "pretend" more than a little annoying.

    If I'm right, Bono and U2 as a whole did a lot for peace for the last 30 years: Ireland, Latin America, ex-Yougoslavia... for instance. Can't see why Bono couldn't warn people about the situation in East Africa.

    the humanitarian situation in Libya, Iraq and Palistine ... Afghanistan is even more dramatic since years! !
