1. I'm hoping Edge's picks include Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me, Your Blue Room, Stingray and Crazy Tonight (with a little Discotheque thrown in for good measure!)
  2. As far as i can work out this leaves only six from the original list of 46 that U2.com gave us the choice from last year that has now not been released. i have included the 3 Bonus tracks in my count.
  3. The two tracks sound great!

As if you needed me to tell you that.

B-sides for future singles no doubt.

  5. Yep could not resist the temptation to renew 4 and a half months early.
  6. I actually renewed last week before this "official" announcement - I am going to be able to access the downloads and get this book/cd, right? I only ask because I logged into my account info section where the u22 tracks were last year and there's nothing a available for download.
  7. Anyone been able to access the track detail page??

id fire a mail off to them, it sounds like you've renewed on the old package.
  9. That would be extremely underhanded. Why would I renew for something that I already have?... Gonna email them now...quick update - I did have to call as I was slated to get U22 again - it's all straightened out now.

No Line On The Horizon: The audience is quite prevalent right at the beginning and end of the track. My standard of comparison here is the Dublin 2 bootleg (probably the best aside from this mix). Compared to that bootleg, the vocals are more clear and the base is more pronounced, similar to the other U22 tracks. I really like this track so I'm personally glad it's finally released in it's full glory. 10/10

Spanish Eyes: This track is a fun one to listen to. The mixing is great as usual, maybe even better than NLOTH. I haven't listened to Spanish Eyes in a while, but I'm pretty sure Bono mixes and mashes the lyrics a ton. The great thing about it is that it doesn't even matter because it's clear that he doesn't care, the band doesn't care, and I certainly don't care. It's great that U2.com released this gem because mixed recordings of Spanish Eyes are quite rare. 10/10
  11. Bands And When They Should Have Quit

    U2 – 1997
As soft a spot as I have for 'Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of', U2's last decent contribution to rock culture was getting stuck in a massive lemon on the 'Popmart' tour in 1997. The dramatic image-shift of 'Achtung Baby' had long since lost its novelty and they were on the cusp of fifteen years of MOR albums with pictures of them looking bored in airports on the front, videos featuring Boyzone cameos and near toxic levels of global smugness. Sniiiiip!

  12. the most hilaorous in that list ...
    Celine Dion – 1968
