1. I've been out the whole evening.

    What have I missed besides an awful remix?
  2. Nothing!
  3. Umm I guess it was the fact that the remix was put online in advance of the scheduled time. I guess, I don't really know the GMT times
  4. I can't believe I missed out on a remix. Such a sad moment.
  5. For me it sounds like all the other songs you hear on the radio at the moment. It's nothing special, not groundbreaking or worldchangeing and for me really doesn't fit a band like U2.
    The remix of even better than the real thing was great because it didn't sound like one - at least live.
  6. Yup. I'd say it was rather a rearrangement

    Well that is exactly what Bono wants, so mission accomplished.

    I havent listened to the remix and I dont think I will

    EDIT:
    I just came across it, listened to it and now I'm asking myself why I did what I did..... Horrible
  8. well, sadly thats true. hopefully they won't produce an album full of "lady gaga coveresque" songs.
    they will never ever score a hitsingle with that kind of music. reinventement is for sure a good thing for them, but not in a direction that is almost dominating the charts and that is just another hype.
  9. I read the comments in this thread and had to laugh at the quote at the bottom of the page ;

    "We don't make pop music for mass airplay. We're doing something a little bit different that gathers up literary, art and sonic ideas." - Adam Clayton, 2009

    Sorry funny thought had to share.
  10. Personally I dont care what they put as long as it sounds good to me,
    It is U2, they can sing the alphabet and I would still buy their CD and know I like most of it and the sound.
  11. U2 should watch Coldplay Live 2012. Chris says something amazing that I think Bono should take to heart. He says something along the lines of "we've stopped thinking about the people who don't like us and started to appreciate the people who do like us."
