Bono called in from Fez on Friday morning to chat with 2FM's Gerry Ryan about the U2360 Tour. He talked about why U2 doesn't just play random songs ("When you leave the concert, we want you to feel like you've been through something."), said the band hasn't tried to perform "Moment of Surrender" live yet, and they haven't figured out the setlist at this early date. But we hope he's serious about the promise in the headline: "It's not gonna be too choreographed."

A founder member with Bono, The Edge and Adam Clayton, he says it’s important the band goes out while still on top of their game.
“There will be a time when it’s like, ‘It’s time to go,’” says Larry, 47, known as Babyface Mullen.
“I would like that to be on a high when you’re still achieving as opposed to the curve down. That’ll be sad for me. I think it’ll be a more dignified time to go.
“We might come back in five years’ time and may do something together for old times’ sake because we know we’ll want to. That’ll be a beautiful end to a long, beautiful career. It can’t go on for ever. It just can’t.”

Time is irrelevant, it's not linear
Let's stick with that for the time being![]()
Originally posted by gavinfriday:let's talk about the timing of this Mullen-message: just before American presale starts, that's no coincidence. By claiming a possible near future end of the band, they hope that sales will get a boost. They still are a bit afraid of not selling out US stadiums, a bit of a Pop trauma I guess
