  4. let's talk about the timing of this Mullen-message: just before American presale starts, that's no coincidence. By claiming a possible near future end of the band, they hope that sales will get a boost. They still are a bit afraid of not selling out US stadiums, a bit of a Pop trauma I guess

    I wouldn't get worked up over this, and I think it is quite a stretch to see it as a ploy to sell more shows. This was taken from unused interview footage from the recent Rolling Stone interview. All the other guys were asked the same question and no one besides Larry actually mentioned the possibility of ending it anytime soon. We know Larry is the realist out of the band and the most straightforward. He's right it can't last forever, but by no means is the end around the corner.

  12. I'm thinking of 2 more albums, Songs of Ascent included. So their next full break could be their last. And they might tour a bit for the remaining years like the Stones did.
