    REPORT: LARRY SAYS U2 PLANNING NEW ALBUM BY SEPTEMBER 2013

    Larry Mullen Jr. has reportedly told Irish DJ Dave Fanning that U2 is looking to have its next album released by September 2013. That's the word via Twitter from Yvonne Judge, a 2FM radio editor who shared the photo at right of Mullen and Fanning together in the studio today (no doubt taping the interview), and then shared this sneak peek at Larry's album news:

    Remember that abundant talk about a supposed "songs of ascent really realllllly close to be released" started back in Winter 2009-10........
  10. I mean I think I believe it, in theory they should be done with an album by now LOL they had "leftovers" from NLOTH, and Breaking Wave, NS, etc shouldn't take THAT long to get down for a new album. I'm optimistic!
  11. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that EBW, NS, Mercy (official studio) and the NLOTH "leftovers" won't be on the new album. I think they might be released as a side thing or something like that, but I don't think the band wants the new album to be known as "the album of leftovers."
  12. I don't think it will be leftovers as we know it, but more like templates of what's to come. Kind of how like COBL started during Pop, or Send His Angels during Zooropa. I hope we do get proper album versions of Breaking Wave and North Star and the rest being new tracks.
