1. Weird that this is all we've heard of it
  2. It's something concrete at least! And coming from Larry it sounds miles more plausible than from Bono
  3. You can rely on Larry. September 2013 it is then. Let the speculation end. Larry has spoken and he doesn't waste his words, now does he?
  4. It's weird that Bono hasn't been running his mouth for the past few months though if it's that close to completion

  5. Larry probably threatened Bono that he'll kick his ass if he's going to tell people bullshit. That's the only explanation.

    Most likely!

  7. You're right.

He has done it for the last 3 years xD

Remember that abundant talk about a supposed "songs of ascent really realllllly close to be released" started back in Winter 2009-10........
  8. I mean I think I believe it, in theory they should be done with an album by now LOL they had "leftovers" from NLOTH, and Breaking Wave, NS, etc shouldn't take THAT long to get down for a new album. I'm optimistic!
  9. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that EBW, NS, Mercy (official studio) and the NLOTH "leftovers" won't be on the new album. I think they might be released as a side thing or something like that, but I don't think the band wants the new album to be known as "the album of leftovers."
  10. I don't think it will be leftovers as we know it, but more like templates of what's to come. Kind of how like COBL started during Pop, or Send His Angels during Zooropa. I hope we do get proper album versions of Breaking Wave and North Star and the rest being new tracks.

What some of the fans are saying to this is that they shouldn't be trying to stay relevant in the mainstream and they should be trying to cater to their fans instead, and what I'm taking from this argument is that people want U2 to stop caring about trying to top the charts and release something than the fans can and will appreciate.

That's the thing I don't get. Of course they want to be the best and at the top of the charts. I think if you don't at least strive for that then go back to your garage, stop recording and just sing your songs to yourself.
