    The Joshua Tree Tour had several arena shows in the Winter of 1987, Zoo TV started in Arenas in the Winter in Feb of 92, Elevation started at the end of Winter in March 01, and concluded in the start of the next Winter in Dec 01.

    You're right. I meant stadium tour where I said arena tour. I make that error very often, because the biggest Dutch stadium is called the Amsterdam Arena. I believe I'm still wrong about the Joshua and Zoo tours, though...

    Whatsoever, my main point was that Zooropa was released as part of the tour, which happened to be in summer.

    It's ok. I guess we all just want a new album as soon as possible. I should have realised it was an error...lol.

    So I think Bono should think about others doing his job, people like Chris Martin, Eddie Ved etc to take his place bc he seriously aint getting any younger and should'nt be expected to do it on his own, and Chris Martin and other popular stars like even Brandon Flowers would be young and perfect for the Job, Bono Is trying to carry Africa on his own in some sense and its too much for just 1 rock star when there are plenty of rising or falling stars.

    really not a time to be a rich rock star talking about poor people, I'll tell you that, or a film star, or a first lady or a … – there's just something... it's like "Why don't you just piss off back to your chateau" – and so I'm kind of delighted that people keep doing it. Outside the UK, we won't get much coverage for these issues without famous faces – and without coverage, politicians are less supportive.
  12. I have to disagree with your first post. Bono's investment in Africa is a fundamental part of who he is as both a person and a musician. I bet if you ask Bono what he does when he goes to Africa, he'll use many words to describe it, but "job" probably won't be one of them. Bono is doing what he's passionate about and I think he wants people to know that he'll be carrying that banner until the end of his days.

    Plus, it wouldn't be appropriate for Bono to think about other people to continue his struggle because if it's not their passion, they won't be able to carry it out. Chris Martin, Brandon Flowers, and all the other rock stars and actors have to find their own "Africa" per say.
