  1. good point .. still i think that with all the mangement and similar (often awful things for artists) they have behind there could be a good promotion as well ... if only they wanted ..

    Indeed. Management usually ruins what could be great promotion for an artist or band's greatest output in a long time (or for the first time). I can only think of many a time when an album deserves to be seriously promoted and the efforts on that front are limp.

    But then again I've seen amazing promotions for both sub-par and efforts of excellence.
  4. Anybody know where I can find any pics of bono lookalikes trying to show a friend that there are some not the same but close if your not a huge fan you wouldnt know.
  5. If they quit, I hope they'll do it the REM way. Great last album, no tour, and 6 months after release announce 'that's it'.

    They better not do that this time then...I'm yet to see them live and am really counting on a next tour!
  9. This band needs to take it's head out of it's ass and start releasing some of the music that they have recorded over the past 6 years. Bono is worried about being relevant in today's music world but if you don't release anything does that not make you irrelevant. The "real" fans are gonna love anything this band releases so let's make the ones that wait the four years between albums happy and start making music again.

  12. Not true. I'm sure a lot of real fans (and there's heaps here) wouldn't think everything U2 ever put out is great.

    Most of Bomb, ATYCLB and most of War is crap. But yes, it would be ideal for the band to put something new out. When was the last time they had a new studio recording out?
