    NLOTH is also good
White as snow and Cedars of Lebanon are OK, but they're not live songs
Unknown Caller may also be OK - but, again, not the best live song
But GOYB, Stand Up Comedy and Crazy Tonight - mmm:OK B-sides!
    And no real single! Ouch.

I think it's all a matter of taste. No Line on the Horizon is my favourite, but I'm sure there are loads of fans who think it's their worst.

It all comes down to your last line: no real single. I still wonder what would've happened if Moment of Surrender was released as lead single at short notice...

Yep, who knows. But it isn't really a radio tune (as opposed to Vertigo or SYCMIOYO). I also really like the album - I don't think it is a low point in their career. In any event, I'm quite confident that we won't be let down - not sure why...
  3. So we wont be getting a best of 2000-2010 by the looks of it, i was hoping that North Star, EBW and the other unreleased 360 tracks would make that album and maybe we see one become a single ala Electrical Storm.

I think Mercy would be the single for Best of 2000-2010, if released.

Mmm - a best of 2000-2010 would only cover the 2004 and the 2009 albums... as opposed to the 4 covered by the previous best of... not enough material in there, I'm afraid?
  6. Some say "Walk On" and "Elevation" could be used as their singles were released in 2001. I always thought it was a bit absurd how they included "Beautiful Day" and "Stuck..." on the Best of 1990-2000 but not the other two. Seems silly to split them up.
  7. I think it'd be kind of ridiculous at this point for them to release another greatest hits after U218 and the other two, but maybe that's what they mean by "release and then release again right after"

well if that's what they mean, it won't be that bad, releasing a best of 2000-2010 but include the left over tracks too.
  9. I honestly don't think Mercy, North Star, Every Breaking Wave, or Glastonbury will be released on the new album. I think they will be released as B-sides or some other minor project, but I find it very difficult to see songs that are no longer considered "new" released on a new album for U2.

This is especially true in the case of Mercy because I'm sure most U2 fans have that studio quality recording of the song.

the only one I see on there is Every Breaking Wave in an amazing rework that'll be very different from the live versions. (Hoping at least!)

I was not really a fan of the live versions at all. Very glad they did not perform it at the gig I attended.
