1. I didnt know they played Russia during 360.

On a side note, do most bands who tour Europe go to Finland? Random question i know.
  2. Going to Russia was a pretty dumb Decision, what's next China? North Korea?

Bruce planted a little over 4 hour (not inclunding preset) gig last year there .. he passed through Finland during his previous tours too.. at least in this millenium

Bono did say "Adelaide, we'll see you next time" when they were in Melbourne for the 360 shows, fingers crossed that happens.

Even though it entirely sucks, sometimes if it's a band you truly want to see - you have to do a bit of traveling. Who else did Adelaide miss out on this year? Aerosmith, ZZ Top as two I can think of.

  5. I could see them playing China perfectly. I think you mean this by the Russian disrespect towards Human Rights, but Human Rights are violated sistematically in the United States too (death penalty and torture anyone?) and no one says anything about it I don't want to get too political, but your statement is basically wrong.
  6. absolute +1

(they also played in Turkey .. Israel, Chile, South Africa, USA (ops you already named it hehe) .. and so?)
  7. Yeah, I was going to say Turkey and Israel too. Yep, completely invalid argument.
  8. The Chinese Government would not allow them to play in their country because U2 performed at the Tibetan Freedom Concert in 1997.
  9. that can easily be .. Oasis weren't allowed .. Bob Dylan played there though .. he didn't take part of that concert (if i'm not wrong) still he's not surely a comfortable charachter
  10. Kraftwerk have recently been told that they can't perform at a Chinese festival because they played Tibetan in 1998.

I personally don't have a problem with the death penalty if you've taken someone's life. Or with torture if you aren't revealing vital information.
