    Mylo Xyloto is an exceptional album. And Xylobands are the most innovative thing I've ever seen implemented on a tour. I'll go so far as to say that U2 would never think of implementing something similar because it's not their style.

    Ah come on.... Mylo Xyloto is really crap crap crap crap. Coldplay started out as a great band, Parachutes and A Rush Of Blood are great albums. XY was good, but after that they just became so boring and uninspired. Its now just only songs with at least 9times the line ''Ohohohohoho'' or ''Ahahaha''.

    But I guess its just a matter of taste

    And U2 should cut the crap with things like a armband or a big stage in all kind of strange forms. It should be about music and the things surrounding the music should come in second place. With Coldplay and also U2 I feel like its more about the things around the music than about the music itself.

    U2 are using big and strange podiums since the 90ies but their main thing has always being the music.
  10. I feel like for both bands (Coldplay just looking at their MX tour) it has never been just about the music regarding their live acts. Sure, they both have the songs to make it just about the music, but what separates the men from the boys is the ability to manipulate your surroundings so the music more grand, more intimate, more mysterious, etc. U2 have long been the gold standard and still are in that regard. But I think Coldplay is well on their way to discovering their own style and their own way to shape their surroundings. The Mylobands complement Coldplay's new direction (which I personally LOVE as I see early Coldplay as drab and one dimensional), but probably wouldn't work with U2.


    But enough of this. I want the next post to be about some sighting of the band subtly unveiling the name of the new album or the release of their next single.

    I would swear that's Edge doing the backing, though...
