It's just way too high. When he did high notes on songs like No Line, Moment Of Surrender, This Is and Breathe, they sounded fine.
If these vocals were pitched down just a fraction and turned down in the mix, it'd be listenable. I can only hope the whole next album doesn't have these vocal styles attached.

It's only one minute and a couple of seconds and some of it is even drowned but actors voices, so there is not much to repeat about what we like/dislike.
