  7. There are a lot of twitter accounts about U2 and some of them are really good...It's really a shame since none of them are official accounts.

    Then, if you look at their facebook, well, there's nothing special there.

    No comments about U2.com.

    So, based on that, I have to agree with Genaro.
  8. Yeah they really aren't active on the internet... if they want to appeal to "young" people they need to go that route way more.

    Didn't someone say in the summer that they had been working on a phone app for U2's new album? That might be a good idea depending on how it's done.
  9. It's funny how Bono always says he's excited about the future, new technology and stuff... A pioneering band if it comes to stages and concert-experience, but when it comes to social media...

    But the Edge has Twitter, right ? I remember some pics he posted during 360...

    Yeah, I agree. They definitely lack proficiency when it comes to that. They're slowly improving though. Edge's twitter account came to mind, indeed, although it's quiet since the end of the tour: https://twitter.com/360FromTheEdge

    Genaro, you're right about that, although the same was said for NLOTH (something regarding Blackberry and an album app). On the other hand, I don't think a paid app would work very good, at least here in Spain where people are absolutely reluctant to pay for copyrighted material and decide to get it from pirate sites instead. Anyway, I'd love to see my band taking a big step in that regard, and take the lead in the music industry again!
  11. You guys do you remember when Bono had a blog in late 2008? And he wrote a bit about AIDS and his usual topics, but then he was like, "back to the studio" and said, "next time I will write a bit about the new album" and HE NEVER WROTE AGAIN LOL. Someone should find that again hahahaha
