1. But I should say we've put a total of 5 songs up now, so if you haven't listened, go do it! We're not getting any younger waiting for Edge!

The band is a fucking shambles.

  2. In the next half hour, she says. Hanging on..
  3. fook it im staying up
  4. In the meanwhile... I just came across this article:

    http://www.gigwise.com/photos/88230/13-massive-bands-that-dont-need-to-be-relevant-to-be-successful

U2 are back, although it feels like they never went anywhere. They've always been a pretty constant presence in music, just by doing that 'U2' thing that they do - which is why we're surprised to hear Bono's new concerns about the band being 'on the verge of irrelevance'.
There comes a point in the career of some bands, where relevance becomes, well...irrelevant. These are either the lucky few that become absolutely huge by carving out their own path an inimitable style, regardless of what the trends of the time dictate.
When Bowie returned had he gone all dubstep? Luckily not. Did Foo Fighters ever record a Nu Metal album? Thank the Lord, no. Are you likely to see the burly bearded Elbow in a sexy hip magazine spread? We doubt that.

Because being uncool doesn't stop you being huge.
