No, we're doing well, some joking around from time to time is not bad, we don't need to lead serious discussions all the time. I joined atu2's forum a while ago because I really liked the discussions they had there, but then found out they have tons of topics like 'Bono rocks my world' and 'Larry is too hot' and got pretty disappointed. U2start still remains the best page around.

True, but 'we' get more and more members which seems to be a good thing, but more members could easily lead to a loss of quality

Not really. If you really think about it... How many of the new users really become full-time users, with active participation on the boards, etc etc? Maybe 1 of each... 20? 30?

Exactly we've had around 6 times more users this year than the year before. But we dont have 6 times more active users. Which is in a way a good thing, handling 24 000 new ACTIVE members a year would be a catastrophe. Instead we have some very interesting new members that mix pretty well with the rest.

Sure a noob every once in a while, but we all started as one

that's just true. just think about the regularly active members before 360 began.... and look at the forum now. with a few nice exceptions (:W to our new family members here) we're basically the same bunch of members who post here

and she does not need big hands

omg that was interference for real, I take that one back a little fun ain't too bad every now and then.

and back on topic, the first picture is one of my real favorite Ali photos. she is a beautiful woman, you don't have to be a man to acknowledge that

Would have been a better album cover for NLOTH

  8. Maybe we'll get this with the next album? Songs of Ascent would get a whole different meaning, wouldn't it, Bono...

That literally scared the crap out of me....
  10. Not really a band sighting, but for all those in the New York City area:

If you're within striking distance of New York on January 21st, head down to Barnes & Noble (Lincoln Triangle, 1972 Broadway) when Steve [Lilywhite] will be interviewing Bill [Flanagan] about the novel... and doubtless letting slip the odd U2 story along the way.

    U2.com > News > 'Evening's Empire'
  11. Sillywhite

Lunch today with my good friend Adam Clayton.

    twitter update from Steve Lillywhite
  12. Edge was interviewed on Dave Fanning's radio show today - no news on Songs of Ascent, but he said they wrote a new song for the Haiti earthquae relief fund efforts.

I think the interview's going to be available later online: http://2fm.rte.ie/blogs/dave_fanning_news/
