Hopefully they'll find what they're looking for, but we still haven't...

I think you might be right there.
I hope not winning the Oscars doesn't make them think that if Ordinary Love is on par with the rest of the album and it is no good,
when Ordinary Love is a lovely song, can't say the same for Invisible though? But needless to say I think your theory is correct but God I hope they dont change all the other songs that are like on par with Ordinary Love . But really this is just jumping to conclusions without facts.
I really welcome any U2 album atm even Invisible is growing on me and I first hated the song hehe
  2. This is new to me:

    http://www.thestar.ie/star/bono-twist-of-fate-saved-me-from-1974-dublin-bombings-42773/

"In the early 70s by just a twist of fate I missed a car bombing in Dublin and 23 people died,” Bono said.

This are the bombings he talks about: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dublin_and_Monaghan_bombings

I wonder how much truth there is to it, and why didn't we know before (assuming we didn't)? It seems like the typical story that Bono would have told a thousand times during the years if it was true.

I think I've heard it before actually.
  4. And I think I read about it somewhere.
  5. So now a press person says the album is not delayed and still planned for this year
  6. I also already read it somewhere a few years ago.
  7. Would have been stupid to delay it 'til 2015. It's been what, five years since a new record?

Given the gap between HTDAAB and NLOTH was the longest (or am I wrong?) - they don't need another one. Put it out there, see how it's recieved and if people like it, that's great. Stop chasing relevance, whatever that means in music.

If relevance was such a big thing, mindless pop drivel would have died by now. Who's going to remember that in ten years time compared to recordings of even the late 1990s. Just the other day (yesterday, I think) I read a comment on a 'dance' song that it's so nostalgic from 2011.

Yet it sounded so outdated and boring. No nostalgia to be had there.
  8. One Direction, Katy Perry and U2 in the same news title...that's..interesting.
Well, there is your relevance boys.
