1. I bought a copy today, just reading it now (well, I haven't got to U2 yet).

Also heard The Miracle for the first time outside of my own listening.

Agree with everything. Coldplay might be able to do it, but I just don't think they want to. They don't have that need to be in front 'changing' the industry. Ghost Stories was always going to be on Spotify, most artists wait 5/6 albums after the physical release before uploading it everywhere, don't think it relates to U2 at all.

On another note, have we heard anything about any public performances yet? Fallon, SNL, BBC, KROQ? Anything confirmed?

Nothing confirmed yet. I guess they will wait until the proper release date and then start promoting it.
  3. SNL's 40th season kicks off this Saturday and I'm sure they would want the biggest name in music to be part of that celebration.

That might be a good time to honor Iris!
  5. They've already announced the musical guest for the premier.
  6. This silence is killing...
I would really like some promotional appearances now!
Oh well, another two weeks I guess...

  7. Yes, for the premier. But as an anniversary season, SNL is determined to make each week a celebration of SNL. U2 will show up.
  8. Sep 27, 2014 Love was in the air at the Venice Marco Polo airport on Saturday (September 27) as Irish rocker Bono made a last-minute landing ahead of the nuptials of his Hollywood friend George Clooney and his bride-to-be Amal Alamuddin.
