1. so with the latest u2.com headline for subs, the video shows them eating out of that icecream truck on the beach and playing etc, talking about why they wanted to be in a band.. they've had all this stuff long prepared obviously. that was a while ago if i recall correctly

Yeah, the Bray photos happened almost (or over) one year ago... And I'm sure most of the songs were written and probably recorded by then. They've just taken too long with the final mixing, tweaking and all that stuff.
  3. Maybe it is from 10 Reasons to Exist era...

Well I mean Invisible was done and ready to go for the end of January. They had Ordinary Love and Breathe recorded sometime last year and then they brought in the other producers. So it makes sense to assume there was an earlier version of this album nearly ready to go.

Is there anyway someone could send me his video?
  6. From an interview Edge and Adam had with a Belgian newspaper :

    - The biggest news imo : the tour will start in may 2015 !!! (including Belgium)

    - Songs Of Experience will probably be released in 2016. Source = Edge, who says you should never listen to Bono when it comes to release dates.

    - Edge wanted to kill himself once every week during the making of SOI.

    - For the moment, they still want to just play concerts of their own. Festivals might be a possibilty in the future.

    - They're surprised by the negative reactions after the Itunes release, but still think they made the right decision.

    - Edge still hasn't got a new Iphone

    - The reason they worked with so many people (producers) is that nobody wanted to stay as long as Lanois and Eno did in the past. They had other stuff to do as well. Danger Mouse was with them the longest.

    - The producers handed them ideas and criticism, but most of the work is from the band. More than usual.

    - Rock became too soft. Bands should be critical to the world around them again. Edge doesn't like popmusic nowadays, but admits that's where the melodies are that work.

    - Edge met Aislinn at the Ramones concert.

    - The IRISH band that made the most impression on them when they started was called The Radiators From Space (???)

    - Edge studied sciences, but only scribbled ideas for songs on his pages. Fortunately he could quit when the band became serious.

    - Adam still can't hold a bass.

    - Being in a band is almost impossible, but it's worth it. Like a marriage.

    - Edge admits they don't feel the need or urge anymore to take very dangerous artistical riskes like they did between Rattle & Hum and Achtung Baby, but they still want to try new things and experiment. Otherwise he isn't interested.

Edge : "Larry is still the boss of the band. He always reminds us he gave us a job, so he wants to have 2 votes. It's only him on the cover of SOI and if you open the album it's his big head again. It's the Larry Mullen Band."
  7. THANKS for the info!! Disappointing news about SOE but great news about the tour
  8. Best parts are about Adam and Larry
  9. If the tour starts in May, better hurry with the ticket sales
  10. The Radiators From Space?! That's one hilarious band name but I like it - a lot.
