1. Damn English language that can't admit "son" for generic son/daughter. Anyway, I corrected it.
  2. great read from such an inspiring person
  3. "A is for Ali"

Gonna read through it later, good of him to go personal like this...the x-ray pic looks painful, and the guitar news is sad, even though he doesn't play much
  4. Amazing read so far but it's quite a big thing to go through so the rest will follow later. Sad news about the guitar
  5. Great great read, far from boring
Think he hasn't been this open in many years (glaucoma/guitar/Larry cover/children photo/x-ray etc)
  6. Great to hear from him. I agree with everything above ^

Old people get sentimental from time to time
  8. "The consequences of this freak accident are significant enough that I will have to concentrate hard to be ready for the U2 tour in fitness terms," he said.

"As a result I have cancelled every public appearance and decided this missive is all the communication I can manage for the first half of 2015, beyond muttering and singing to myself of course."

I really hope this isn't the end of Bono's guitar-playing days, but I trust Bono knows what he needs best.

I just hope he didn't underestimate all of this and will be 100% in shape on May 14, which I doubt a bit reading all of this.
  10. He still got 4 months to get there. And he's probably surrounded by the best people to help his recovery. Don't worry.
  11. I still can't believe how insecure he is... This is one of the most popular faces in music, if not one of the most popular in general, and he still doubts about if we care for his opinion or how he's doing... "I... I'm a humble guy" - Holy Joe

Btw, why does he wear a leather jacket while riding a bike...
  12. He does have a lot of time to focus on recovery, but I think he understands the magnitude of his injury. The fact that he cancelled all public appearances from this point on shows that Bono wants to put as much energy as possible on recovery and not deal with making appearances on talk shows and the like. For any other band, cancelling all their appearances leading up to a tour would be detrimental, but U2 is big enough to be able to do this. Anyhow, when this injury first happened, most of us were hoping Bono would take a low profile and focus on recover, so it's glad to see that's exactly what he plans to do.

This is Bono we're talking about, he's got a leather jacket for every activity.
