I don't think it'll be too long, as it was played over the credits lol, and we all know how long they run for.

And it's definitely less boring than the 2nd version, its more upbeat and the instrumentation is more unique, the movie version is a very traditional sounding ballad.
Just the intro and first verse of the Linear version is sublime, gorgeously melodic and love Bono's imagery in the first verse "the yellow sun/ well it took the hand...."

The only problem I have with the Linear version is the way Bono sings the first line of the choruses ie. "the broken and the bruised", his voice sounds incredibly harsh. ditto for the second chorus.

But that's what makes it better. It's got a more rougher sound which suits the rougher and more raw sound (compared to the last two records) and suits it.
  3. Right, I warned you guys. This topic is now closed for a week.

If this doesn't stop being a discussion topic, I will close it.

  4. Ok. It's been just over a week now. Let's try again. Open.
  5. Little funny article in today's Chicago Sun Times.

VATICAN CITY -- Call it the Vatican's 10 commandments for good listening.

The Holy See's newspaper Saturday published its picks for pop rock paradise, ranging from Michael Jackson's album "Thriller" to Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon" and the Beatles' "Revolver."

What L'Osservatore Romano calls a semiserious guide on the road to good music will take you to "Graceland" -- Paul Simon's album made the cut.

The other picks are David Crosby's "If I Could Only Remember My Name," Santana's "Supernatural," "Rumours" by Fleetwood Mac, Donald Fagen's "Nightfly," U2's "Achtung Baby" and "(What's The Story) Morning Glory" by Oasis.

  6. Yep, he definitely should grow his hair a little.

OT: By the way, I read somewhere that the nose is the only part of your body that keeps getting bigger throughout your entire life. I wonder what B will look like when he's 70 lol.
  7. oh no no, please don't let the hair grow again. I'm still traumatized from the Vertigo era the way it's been so far is perfect.
And if the nose keeps growing.....his profile will be very interesting on their Farewell Tour in 2025

Yes, I didn't like his greasy Vertigo Tour hairdo either, the shorter haircut makes him look younger.
  9. What he did to his hair on the Vertigo Tour was terrible, but still, he looks quite ridiculous with the sides cut brutally short.

  10. Oh yea, but I was going more by his current do (drunk though he may be)
