1. For some reason I still honestly doubt the extensive alternate setlists, I'm honestly expecting a lot of variation but not 20 out of the 23 songs. I can see SBS acoustic one night, SBS electric one, California early on in the show electric then the same song acoustic mid-to-late show. Songs like One Tree Hill are still going to be rare. However it's all exciting and I hope they're proven wrong.

I still think Streets, One, Beautiful Day, Vertigo and maybe WOWY will be lightly.
  2. Perhaps they are planning a 10 - 15 minute medley of some of the old and I have to say tired staples (NYD, WOWY, SBS, BTBS etc). Could be interesting......

I love that idea, just a few long snippets
  4. me too . A 5 minutes medely of One/ WOWY , other with NYD/SBS ..sure they can do that
  5. Yes, like Stars of 45 or Grease mega mix. Awful idea.
  6. WOWY and One will always be performed along with Still Haven't Found and Pride. Don't think NYD will be a regular. WOWY hasn't been performed well since Nov 92 but if we have to put up with these 4 then just as long as the other 19/20 are new album, hardcore fan favs then I am ok. It's the danger of boots and magnificent returning and beautiful day being in every night that we need to worry about.
  7. No, Not at all like that.
I've seen Genesis do it and it worked very very well.
"People want new material, old stuff been repeated too many times" as was once quoted in Numb.
Its a way of freshening up tired songs that a lot people want to hear, and giving them a new lease of life.
    That's what I think anyway!
When you have been going nearly 40 years, and half the audience still want to hear your 'hits', then this might be a solution.
Personally speaking, i want anything but the hits, but Id be happy with this.
  8. Medleys?! No, please. For the sake of my sanity. I've seen bands do it before and it is an absolute car crash.
  9. NO! Anything, but Streets. I don't mind giving the warhorses a rest, but come on. Streets is the climax of every show. When the entire band kicks in and the blinding lights shine bright showing the whole place jump up and down.... nothing beats that.

    +1

Medley is not what i want. I want 1983 versions of SBS but never is going to happen anymore. The same with Pride , NYD , One, etc ...medely could be a solution about this problem . If the show will take 2 hs and 30 minutes ( dream ) is better to have 5 minutes for a medley of Pride/NYD than a 5 minutes version of each . In this way they have more time to do different or new songs and give to some fans the hits that they want to listen
