1. I don't think it's worrying at all. what do you fear? that they cancel everything 5 weeks prior?
  2. I am always a 'glass half full' kind of chap but I have a horrible feeling about this tour. We just need something to see what progress has been made- bono's recovery, rehearsing new stuff, etc.

It was clear from the beginning of Bono's accident that his recovery would be 'just in time' for the tour, as in 1 or 2 weeks before. So I think we have to be more patient.
  4. If Bono was not feeling up to the tour we would have noticed by now. On Photo's he's looking ok.

Isn't it a Guy Oseary thing to hold a lot of cloack and dagger on the tour. I'm not that worried. In fact i can't wait........
  5. I'm not too worried about Bono not being fit, or even that they've slipped out of the limelight after they had so much fuel to use with that release. It's more just that weird feeling that it doesn't feel like they're about to embark on a tour.
  6. I hope it's a rough opening. That way they don't get time to overthink.

Since then they have released extremely poor received back to back albums, weakest since before War. Also Beautiful Day, Vertigo, COBL, Elevation got much radioplay, still do, and nothing from last two albums have come close to it....Also, yes, U2 are trying to cash in. It comes off as a total money grab, but, they are getting old. I will allow it. Now this tour could just be a feather in the cap of their career but I am really holding out hope that this will be the best received/reviewed tour of their careers, to continue to try for the homerun every night. OK, Zoo was just some other monster that if aliens landed in a time machine and want to experience a live rock show then that is the first place I would send them. But for us U2 fans, I am hoping this "experience" will be THE pinnacle, the one that we will mention in 30 years when young'ns ask about U2.
Your opinion and mine of "weak reception" seem to differ.
  8. well, the only thing I'm worried about is bono and his health. yes, they probably know what they're doing and he's gonna be ok, but I can't help feeling a bit weary for him /shrugs

    we'll see.
  9. But think about this. Do we really want U2 to release a weekly update regarding Bono's recovery?

  10. I don't want weekly updates on his health I'd have felt better had they just postponed the tour for a month, that's all. he suffered some heavy injuries, but they reassured the public asap that everything would continue as planned and that had me a little sceptical, but yeah... am not a doctor, just a concerned fan

There's plenty of pictures of him lately showing no signs of complications, there's even a couple of seconds of video footage of him clapping at the end of a football match, there's been a couple of shows added to the tour, he's been travelling and there are reports of the band rehearsing since a few weeks ago... so I really can't see a reason to feel uneasy about his health at all.
  12. sorry, can't shake it
