1. This is odd.

I'm reading that new U2 Rolling Stone special edition issue, and Bono is telling a story about himself and Christie Hynde (of the Pretenders) "during Pride" (whatever that means, during the recording of it?) and the writer of the article states that she sang backup vocals on the song. When the hell did that happen?
  2. Well I know that the song was recorded in 84! But I never knew that she was involved. Always thought it was Edge singing backup.
  3. You can read about it on U2byU2 methinks
  4. Really? I swear I've read that book like 8 times and I've never known that..hmmmm
  5. And this appeared on the Did You Now? facts this moment:
Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders sang backing vocals on "Pride". At the time The Unforgettable Fire was recorded, she was married to Jim Kerr of Simple Minds.

    Coincidence, or conspiracy?
  6. I'm almost certain it was in U2 By U2, but wasn't really given much detail. Easy to miss
  7. I'm ashamed of my U2 fandom knowledge today..or lack thereof
