Yeah, but they are masters of misinformation. I'm sure the album was already rolling. But alas, where have we heard that before? Only to have them scrap it all and start over.

I long for the new record, too... But when the time is right, and they are sure it's ready. The boys will unveil it. I'll wait to hear that Bono was blasting it from his beach house. That's how you know a record is almost ready.
  2. I bet on late April/early May. Such optimism I had...
  3. This... I mean, Paris is sooo easy to reach for me.. But there is now way that I can get a day off for it on such short notice.
  4. Read some rumors on facebook this morning:

Monday 13th, a single called Tightrope should be released, tour start USA in September.
My guess is: that will happen, as I just booked a ridiculous expensive tattoo appointment in september and so will not be able to fly out to their tour start

2 friends of mine also won the Paris trip and are almost unable to get there....stupid idiots of livenation.
  5. It's incredible, setting up an event and letting the winners know with 24 hours anticipation. Just plain stupid jerks. And probably at least Bono will be there. Oh well, let's forget about this before I get really angry

I heard the rumour saying tour to be restarted in Miami around September too... Which I fought with the simple fact that they would never put ticktes on sale with just 3 months anticipation. They did it for Dublin+Belfast 2015 but those were just a couple of special, extraordinary and particularly small gigs. They'd never do it for a full row of major gigs anywhere else.

they did on first leg of 360° - less than 4 months (album end of february, tickets in march, start of tour end of June)

I am pretty sure they will be able to sell arenas, especially with a new album. So SOE being born means the album is ready. If that's true, it might be out in July or so - like Zooropa. Then third leg of I&E starting in September. Not impossible, but tight. And I'd have thought there'd be a longer time between the end of the studio sessions and the album coming out.
  9. They recently said they wanna tour so badly. Its not impossible. They sell out within minutes so 3 or 5 months who cares.
  10. My concern (about their concern) is obviously not about the ticket sales. They will sell out mostly any arena in a couple of minutes. It's more about what Julien said. I doubt they'd ever go on tour with less than 6 months of rehearsing the show, the visuals, the new songs, all the paraphernalia that surrounds their tours.
