1. Does bono have a problem shouting "Gloriaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" at the opening of the song "Gloria" when performing the song live? I.E: Is there a live version of this song that includes "the shout"?

    Thanks!

bumping a topic...just an exotic way to say it.
  5. There's BOUND to be an answer to this one .
  6. I don't remember the album version having Bono shout "Gloriaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" ...unless of course, which is entirely possibly, I'm living in a world of my own lol...

yup there is. It's like an echo type shout a little in behinf the music.
  9. lol fair enough. I haven't listened to October in a while I'm afraid...I've got live versions in my head, where Bono usually says "must be Gloria..." or something...

Yeah, that's interesting...live, in place of the shout, he usually just introduces it ("This is Gloria!"). I think the shout works on the album, because of the way the song fades in, but live, it simply has to start with Larry's drumming. It would be interesting to hear how they could manage it live. If Bono's voice can take it.

i prefer when he introduce the song ("This is Gloria!")
  12. Although I enjoy the rewarding discussion, I'd even more enjoy an answer to the relatively simple question: Is there a live version (any version at all) that is opened the same way as the album version?
