On "The Simpsons" episode with U2 when Bono started getting political Edge turned to Larry and said "Oh, here we go. You wanna go grab a pint?" at which point Adam called them both wankers when he wasn't invited. Classic.

    great episode!!
another hillarious moment is when Homer wants to go backstage and he's stopped by the security guy!!! hahaha!!

  6. I say whatever fits the tour and the songs. The Vertigo tour worked, the politically charged portion of the show worked, the full on rock show portion of the show worked, the various encore sections worked (zoo tv, acoustic, etc). I'm sure the next tour will work too, although I do hope for a non-flag version of Streets, I have a strong feeling that that would not work outside of a Vertigo tour context, if the next album is going to be transcendent then they need to bring back the transcendent opening of the most transcendent song ever!

    Got a point there...
Altough I liked the flags, it might not fit with the style...

exactly, I'm not a staunch flag hater, haha, I quite like the Vertigo versions, they are different, and the middle section when the lights come up is still magical. however, it really shows on bootlegs and any other live performance when you hear that song start and you don't hear that "roaarrrrrr" of applause and people screaming for their lives as the song starts, that's what i want to see, hear, and experience again
  11. I know hes famous and all, and can make a difference, but SBS being one of my favourite songs, its so annoying when its disrupted by a speech.
