Yeah, really. I just don't buy CDs any more (unless they're potentially collectible and even then, I'm kinda getting out of them). I just don't need that much plastic in my life. I'd rather buy a digital file.

That's surprising coming from you. I thought you'd rather by a record.

  2. I thought you might throw that one back at me...but you get my drift, I don't need "something to hold onto" anymore...although I'd like to think I am still a music fan, my physical collection of CD's doesn't need to be added to anymore.

  3. Vinyl is different...I suppose since it's NOT digital. I'd buy it if I had a phonograph - but I don;t and don't plan to anytime soon.

"Beginner's Mind" is my favorite track. And the last lyric bit of the last track, "One for You, One for Me" (of this stated last Bright Eyes album) it just kills me.

Great album!!! "Shell games" and "Jejune Stars" are my favorites... along with "one for you, one for me"

    Yes, I understand.

I just prefer "holding onto something" and skimming through a real booklet instead of it being just files on a computer. I prefer downloading bootlegs though, for obvious reasons.
  6. I bought Dr. Dre's '2001' album, Hip-Hop classic
  7. I just bought 3 Coldplay albums from play.com, cause they were only 4,99€ per record. Parachutes, X&Y and A rush of blood to the head.

Admittedly, I do find myself leafing through some of my old CD booklets - and am somewhat surpirsed that I've been getting the lyrics wrong after years and years of singing along to a particluar tune!

I suppose I just I haven't found a connection to a new band over the past few years to feel the need to go out and buy one of their CD's. As for albums like No Line On The Horizon and, say, King Of Limbs, I want them the MOMENT they are available so I will purchase them but then feel silly paying for them twice by buying "proper" format of them. If I do in fact see NLOTH for less than 10 bucks in a store, I would consider picking it up, however.
