True...but Guus is our best coach, I believe. Leading South Korea to the semis in 2002, Australia to the 2nd round in 2006 and now again the 2nd round in 2008. And he guided Holland to the semis in 98. He has never won anything in international football, neither did Advocaat. That man failed in 94 and 2004.

Guus is very good in leading fallen nations to glory again. Russia's football level was awfull the past few years, the same with Korea. He has a talent to change something from tiny to very big.

I hope whe kick his arse though this weekend...

Ah shit, I meant European rather than international level re. Advocaat lol. Both coaches are pretty decent, we should leave it at that

I fear that he may get the better of you though - DA beat his old club Rangers in the UEFA Cup, and I'd say there's a great chance that Hiddink will get the better of Van Basten...

  4. Croatia - Turkey tomorrow. Any predictions?

that's going to be a tough game.
    2:1 for turkey

what about the germany - portugal game today?
  6. The match today is going to be a tough one. Most likely not a beautiful one. The German players are angry because of their coach's situation. They will agressively try to destroy Portugese combinations while establishing their own short pass- play and wait for free kicks and corners. Portugal will try to stop and avoid that. I guess we'll have to wait for moments of individual genius. If that doesn't happen we'll get 0:0 and penalty shooting. Overall I'd estimate the German chances 1/3, Portugal 2/3. But of course I have to bet for Germany, 1:0 after a corner- ball.

I agree that Turkey- Croatia tomorrow could end 2:1. But that's just my 0.02, as usual.

  7. Germans

After Croatian team did to your what it did, you're saying that Turkey will won against us.

    Brave from you :p

maybe that's why I'm hoping for this to happen no offense.
and when I saw how turkey turned the game against czechia in the last minute.. they seem to be very determined.

    @alex:
I'll keep my fingers crossed the entire game.
feels like the game against argentina during the last wm.. playing against a giant.
  9. I think tonight's game will be a 2-1 victory for the Portuguese. They'll play Croatia (who beat Turkey with 1-0 in tomorrow's game) in the semis.

Let's see if my predictions are good

  12. if our German team will play as bad as they did against Austria, it's good-bye tonight.... as much as I hope for Ballack and Podolski to score, I have a feeling the Portugese will be the one to party tonight

well, I'm always open for surprises, though

Oh, and Croatia - Turkey? That one will be a clear 3:1 I think
