This might also be further evidence of the band's supposed "innovation" or new direction in sound. Starting off in Vegas gives them a chance to 'try out" the new sound on unassuming audiences, similar to what they did on PopMart. The rumors that they're doing arena tours rather than stadium tours (if it's true) might also reflect some deviance from the sound of the past two albums.
