I asked because there are two different iPod videos. The classic isn't compatible with a lot of accessories like docks, voice recorders, transmitters etc because of encryption and can't use a lot of older-style accessories - which I put down almost $400 not to have known this and Apple don't tell you - but anyway, it looks like this:

See the difference? The bottom iPod would more than likely work with the recorders.
