Heh, maybe we did - happy 41st mate! . I had a question regarding guitars etc., but I've forgotten the bugger. As a result, pause for thought - I want an Explorer.lol.

Cheers! When in doubt always go to the defaults.

  4. Too right - I need to get myself some new kit for my setup when the chance arises; you able to recommend a decent gain pedal, per chance? Preferably not too expensive...and something that generates something similar to an classic Edge tone
  5. What's up Bitches! Hahahaha... sorry, busy week at work. How are all the musicians today?

Classic Edge tone OD pedal? Try a Boss SD-1 or Boss OD-2 or OD-2r. Avoid the OD-3 as it's shite. A Tubescreamer will get you 2000-2008 era OD tones.

For something a bit more extreme? Boss PW-2. (Edge had one in his Vertigo tour arsenal) While only made for like... 4 mins in 1997, they can be found on E-Bay for under $100.00 I got mine for a mere $39.00
  7. +1 on the Boss SD-1 however if you pick up one used I highly recommend getting one without two of the knobs missing like I did.

    Yikes!
  9. Both BONO and ADAM have used a Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive at times too.

Seems Edge parted with his post POPMART when he began using the Ibanez TS-9 Tubescreamer. (Boss SD-1 being similar in character to a Tubescreamer)
  10. I've use the SD-1 to get that John Entwistle sound I like. Although a different beast altogether I'd like to get an EH Big Muff. About a month ago there was guy around here who sold one on Craigslist for $40. I just wasn't quite quick enough.

I've actually been throwing my extra money at my motorcycle rather than gear lately.
  11. Where can I hear Adam with overdrive?
