    Swine - what sort of pedal? This is just me, but I've found that something around 40 works pretty well. I was playing along to a TUF version on that setting anywho lol...I would help you with tabs, but a) I don't use them and b) I think it's a pretty easy song, major use of drone notes (i.e. open A and D strings - or Ab and Db if you've tuned it down half a step)

  4. It cost me fair bit, but theyre definitely woth it if you're like me and obsessed with learning most of Edge's songs
  5. In my experience with a Boss delay pedal you'll want to target the 440-450ms area and fine tune it from there. I'm also pretty sure that if your using a strat you'll wan the #2 PU setting. Oh, and don't forget your Herdim picks! : )

    I'm here.

    If using a Strat, many of Edge tones are using the middle and bridge position, referred to some as the 'quack' position. (Pride, Streets, etc... all middle/bridge p'up combo)

    The solo on Bullet... I will have to double check but I'm pretty sure it's neck pickup only.
  7. Herdim picks are one major 'key' to Edge's tone. Using them upside-down and striking the strings with the grip part scraping the strings is what gives his playing a more percussive edge (pardon the pun)

    Herdim's are not so easy to find. They are not in your Guitar Center or Sam Ash's of the world.

    Herco 75's are a good alternative. They are more readily available, if one can't find or order the HERDIM blue tear drop picks that Edge (and Adam) use.

    Seems that Dallas has also had someone make some Herdim-like picks for Edge:

    Yepper, even Adam uses them. Here's a piccy. You can see one wedged in the pickguard at the ready. (Most of his bass guitars have one wedged there.)

  11. Definitely, I've just tried to make do with what I have until I can get some decent income lol.

    Re. picks, I haven't got any Hercos or Herdim but I've found Joey Dunlop pickups (I have 2, one 66mm or so and one 88mm) are pretty good substitutes. Have been playing Bad for the last 2 days on shit pickups and a relatively cheap FX setup but still getting that classic Edge vibe (and yeah, I just leave my Strat. on the bridge/middle setting because the bridge pickup is far to fuzzy and thin lol - that's what cheap and cheerful gets you!)
