1. That's not a Fender bass, it's a Lakland lol...hence he was saying they're expensive
  2. An American made Lakland costs almost twice as much as an American made Fender. When I save enough up I'll have to decide whether to with a Japanese Lakland is as much as an American Fender or an American Fender.
  3. Oh fuck I meant Lakland of course, hence the joke... I know that basses are expensive, they're among the most expensive instruments of the world if I recall right. Only a few Gibsons and Ibanezs cost even more...

    *cough* Stradivarius cellos *cough cough*

I'd be willing to bet they fetch similar prices lol...

  5. One of my favorite episodes of The Simpsons had Homer pulling a violin out of a box at a garage sale look at it saying "Stradi-who?".
  6. Well, I could bet you can NOT buy a Stradivarius even if you are Bill Gates... Most of them are owned by the National Orchestras (Spain owns two if I recall right, Germany 5 or 6, etc) and all your money can't buy one... Of course I meant the Laklands are amongst the most commercially sold expensive instruments

Bill Gates can buy the world if he wants to. And if he did, he would still have some money left.
  9. Don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away, all your money won't another minute buy

    All we are is...
  11. back to the main subject...

Other notable tracks include the eight-minute-long "Moment of Surrender" and "No Line on the Horizon," inspired by a distortion box called Death By Audio recommended by ex-Secret Machines guitarist Ben Curtis.

That is a bit misleading. Death By Audio is the brand of the pedal but the article doesn't tell what MODEL pedal. Hopefully we will find out soon enough.

More on Death By Audio? Ceertainly!
