    THe neck inlays might suggest Gibson but the body doesn't. Single cutaway and humbuckers does not a GIbson make.
  3. Yeah, the humbuckers made it strange, but the inlays and the body suggested gibson-sih feeling to me. Anyway the only Maranello I knew so far was this one:

  5. They are gorgeous guitars. I prefer thier thinline hollowbody and hollowbody guitars. NICE sounding and playing instruments, those.

    Meh, I have a fairly uneducated eye lol...

    I'm not a fan - my friend has a PRS SE, plays nicely, but I don't like the aesthetics, i.e. general looks and appearances.

    Seriously, I'm just fecking with you. I know you have more than a clue. I can see that a single cutaway with the neck inlays it has might have one consider that it might be a Gibson but... yeah

    I can agree that PRS guitar look and sound great. But I am still not RUSHING to get one.

    lol, seriously, it's not of the greatest concern (for either of us, I suspect) - I thought it might have been an LP, but we established that it was in fact a Maranello. What would be of more interest would be to know a bit more about Maranello, just 'cause I'm a bit bored lol - do they copy traditional designs but change them so they look slightly different? Or would it be fairer to say that they're as much a genuine company with original designs as are Gibson, Fender, Gretsch etc.??
  9. I've just played my first Stratocaster EVER!!!!!!!!!

    A friend of mine has come back for a 2-years travel from the USA, and he's come with a Eric Clapton Strat!! When he knocked at my door with that darn great guitar on his right hand, I hardly could believe it. We've been playing the whole evening and right now he's leaving my house...

    That guitar sounds GREAT and looks GREAT... I've fall in love with Strat again, after my Les Paul affair

    I'm HAPPY right now. It's the first Strat I've played ever, and I've been craving this sensation way too much time
