before that i had a really amitation goth guitar (good to learn on but completely embarrassing to look at) - having a guitar i actually like has made me play so much more, and ive improved alot over the past few months, so its defo worth the money!
A BOSS DD3 has also been bought this summer
    JEALOUSSSSS
  2. cheers, thanks guys
  3. Yea I started out with the DD-3. it's a great delay pedal to start out with. There's no mod delay, or reverse, or anything like that, but you can still almost nail Streets, Bad, Electric Co, and all those without fancy delays with it. It's great.
  4. DD3 is kind of an industry standard, a great basic delay. DD20 is the big workstation, supposed to do everything that everyone ever invented about delay. In the middle there's the DD7. Nice delay with many possibilities including 20 seconds of looping. You'll have to decide what you want your delay to do and how much you're gonna spend.

My own delay is the Danelectro PB&J mini pedal. I like the sound - more analog (which it isn't) than digital (which it is). Not very versatile except for the option to footswitch between a "short" slap echo and a "long" echo. Hard to find a sweet spot that suits "long" and "short" delay equally well. I like the price, too. On stage I mostly use the "long" delay and ignore the "short" one.

But a lot of people dislike danelectro mini pedals. They're made of plastic, the poti knobs are in a dangerous size and position, the footswitches are small. You'll have to find your own opinion.

  5. thankyou alex!

  6. One can find Danelectro DAN ECHO delays on ebay for a fair rate. It isn't a MINI. It is built like a tank. And it's a might fine sounding analog delay/echo.

Do I have one? Yep. Try one. They are a decent option.
  7. Since I like the PB&J mini delay so much I always wanted to try a DanEcho. But there are so many things I want to try some day...

Big on my wish list: Boss RC2 Loop Station with additional FS5 foot switch.

This is where eBAY and used guitar shops can come in handy. One can find effects for a cheaper rate and not break the bank

I got my Boss PW-2, Edge used one on the last tour, for $35-45 on eBay. Not a horrible price when you know that the PW-2 was made for like... 4 minutes in 1997. (In production for about 5 mos or so, actually).

So read up on some delays on Harmony Central and look at eBay and used shops, would be my advice for those 'in the market' for a delay and unsure what to get.

And just try various ones at your local shop too... doesn't mean you have to pay full price and buy it there and then... but you can see what you like and then find a used one.

    Good day and good tone!

    =O)

Probably 'cause it's in A lol...if you want to play chords, it's just A and D all the way through
similar to Bad (or Ab and Db if you're tuned down half a step), but it's a use of different notes in the key. If it's actual notes rather than chords that you're after, erm...no idea lol.
