  5. I agree. There's no problem if we open a Summary of To-Learn songs, even if they are not U2-ish. If there is any problem I'll speak to Gerard, I'm a crew member after all.

    Aye, fair enough, but why open a new topic when there are plenty we can use already? I mean, if we're talking about learning songs, that's essentially learning how to cover a song, so why not just build it into the ABTTRT topic and save opening up an unnecessary one? That's just my two pennys' worth and I'm no crew member so there isn't any definitive reason why anyone should take note of anything and say, and I could well be in the minority...

  10. Hey guys! Guess what came in the mail today! MY EXPLORER!!! And man is it fucking awesome. FUCKING awesome. Pardon my francais, but it's amazing. I love the sound of it. I love how it feels. It's so easy to play. Amazing. I don't think I'll be changing the pickups anytime soon also. One because I have no money And two because I like the sound of them. They sound awesome with a little OD, I can nail the studio version and live versions of Electric Co, as well as the other early songs, and it sounds amazing with a lot of OD. Not to mention how it cleans up real nice for bluesy tones on the neck pickup. Love it!

    On another note, I made a couple new videos. Check them out! I'm really happy with my tone lately.

  12. I spent a few hours at Guitar Center the other day. They had a Variax 700 set up.

    (similar to THIS)


    The one set up was unfortunately a natural finish version versus an Edge approved black with red "vertigo" logo or silver sparkle finish.

    I had played one once before, when I played "In God's Country" at a tribute show once. Chas from The Joshua Tree (Los Angeles) was kind enough to let me play his - and his IS in Edge approved silver sparkle - he re-finished his.

    So I know that they could be fun but at GC, I had a chance to play around with the various modeling controls and such. They are a pretty fun guitar. Might just be worth the $1000.00-ish that they cost. Might have to put that on my Chanukah list.
