1. What do they stand for? I mean, does undercovering them make any (positive?) effect on the sound??

  2. I've always wondered the same. Does it do anything?

  3. Just looks nicer and protects the pickups underneath.

Apart from basic protection, not from my experience, but I'm sure there's someone out there who says different. Jeff might have an answer for you lol...

I've heard a luthier once saying that taking off the covers makes the sound a little, very little, more trebly, because the poles of the pick up will be exposed to the strings without something in the way. I cannot speak from my personal experience. I am not a guitarrist .

Sounds like a theory, but like I say, I've never really heard any significant change but that's just me speaking from what I know (or don't know, whatever floats your boat ).

  6. I love it!!!!! Any idea what kind of amp that is btw? I thought AC30 but I am less than knowledgeable.

And is that the Gibson ES-295 we've seen in the Desire video? Or was that auctioned off recently?

Love the Casino he picked up for the last album, seen on a stand next to his pedalboard.

Is it just me--or does Edge look like he's aged some? Funny cos he looked the same as Elevation and Vertigo eras in that BBC History of the Guitar video.
  7. Similar to the 1973 that he still has, as the knobs are similar. And Edge's is faded to cream.
