The second picture probably isn't "Bad". The guitar in the black and white photo lookms to be the 1989 charcoal grey Fender Clapton Strat.
I'd guess The Fly or Desire.

Originally posted by RattleandHum1988:This is all strange haha. My best guess is it was a soundcheck. I can't think of any song he would use that chord on. Is that the bar chord he used to use for Angel of Harlem when he used the bar chords instead of the open chords? Perhaps during the soundcheck he was using his explorer to see how it worked with Angel of Harlem. Maybe he thought it sounded nice, which would explain why he used it on the vertigo tour. I'm just thinking out loud here, but I don't think it was during a show.

Possible, but considering they played AofH acoustically, I doubt it, but it's certainly a possibility as is any of our suggestions. Perhaps it was a dud chord like Jeff suggested, but in the end who knows.
Alex, I'll check that soundclip out for sure, not RIGHT now though 'cause all hell has broken loose (relatively speaking) at home lol.

I recorded that today. No reverb / delay and no bass guitar until now. It starts with my GFS- equipped chinese jazz guitar (middle position) clean, next comes my blonde Squier strat (br/mid) crunch, then (neck/mid) lead, then solo (neck) - and in the end you'll hear my Gibson Les Paul.
Enjoy. But please keep in mind that it's not finished yet.

I really enjoyed the tones. Mostly the strat. The ending sounds quite good too, but I didn't like the distortion that much.
