1. Nice, how's the ME-70? is it like the GT-10? Maybe I should have gone with a Boss instead of a Line 6 FX unit, they seem to have more pedigree.

Argh, my Explorer is stuck in customs according to USPS tracking. This is the worst thing about buying from eBay, everything takes ages to arrive.

ME-70 is great, easy to customize the sounds to make it sound like the Edge. if only i could play like the edge.

  3. Aha yea, if only... though i suppose its good we're not trying to emulate Yngwi Malmsteen or someone

I'm hoping the M13 is easy to use, sure doesn't look simple:

On another note, I got my paycheck today and already spent half of it on a Vox Pathfinder 15R amp and an official Epiphone hardshell case. Got both of them for $400 delivered which I thought was a pretty good deal (and then I found out that tommorow is a public holiday in Victoria so they won't be shipping it until Wed, but oh well)

Now i'm just waiting to see what arrives first, the Explorer which I bought like 2+ weeks ago and is held up in customs or my Herdim picks which are coming from Canada (bought last Thurs).

nice, i hate waiting for things, i like everything straight away and if it was an explorer i was waiting for, id be going crazy
  5. Well, having a bunch of great Herdim picks without any guitar to play is pretty disappoiting (or annoying!), so I hope your Explorer arrives soon, Lyndon

Me too, patience is not one of my virtues lol
Why didn't you get an epi explorer as well? Aren't they the same price as the Epiphone SGs?

ive been very close to buying more guitars, a good epiphone is about 800ish, but the money isnt whats stopping me really. I just think that when i put the guitar through the ME-70 its gonna sound exactly like the SG, but having an Explorer would still be nice i guess.
  8. Next on my list? 1962 reissue Gretsch Country Gentleman. Edge-tastic!

  9. Amen to that - I'm looking for my next investment to either be a Yamaha Pacifica or a semi-hollow/hollow-body guitar, but a) I'm skint and b) I'm more inclined to get a new multi-FX pedal 'cause my Zoom has decided to die on me. Not happy, you might say!
  10. I never liked the Yamahas. If you can get a (semi)hollow I would do it for sure, they are my favorte guitars.

    Epiphone Casino anyone?
  11. Haha, i'm sticking with just my strat for now. I've gone through about 6 guitars in the past 2 years, and I always end up coming back to my strat, it's the only guitar i ever need and want to play. Maybe down the line I'll get a either a telecaster or a semi-hollow though, I love tele's.
