Just play your guitar and mess around with the knobs and see for yourself what they do, it's not rocket science. Use something metallic and tap the pickups when it's plugged in if you can't tell by ear which one is on. From all your posts, it sounds like you're almost afraid to play around with your own guitar and equipment. FYI, you can play with your M13 with your tone knob on either 10 or 0. But on 0 it will be all muddy with no treble.
It just takes so long to fiddle with all the settings, cos I have to put my guitar down (I usually sit and play cos I can't see the frets if I stand) and then walk over to the amp and adjust the knobs there.
But I did play figure out how to select the treble pickup. It's strange that the tone knob actually gives you a purer sound the more you turn it up (seems counterintuitive, you would think keeping it on 0 would give you the unaltered tone).
