Also I've decide to practice my guitar unamplified for the time being, is that smart?
I figure its better to get the basics right first without having to worry about amp settings and distortion etc.
I've also noticed that electric seems a lot more 'forgiving' to play than acoustic, ie. small mistakes that are noticeable when played on acoustics (or unamplified electrics) are hard to hear when you play full electric, they sort of get lost in the wash
I think that by practicing unamplified i'll have better playing habits when I start playing with an amp.
Or are there no real benefits to learning this way, and i'm just wasting my time?
