    You're welcome.
    The bend wheel uses no more than one single note. I presume that you could also use "dual" patches, like you press one key and two patches sound together, so even when you press only one key, you are actually playing two notes.
    Also, if this is one of those instruments which play a "rhythm track" and allows you to play over it, the notes of this "rhythm track" are also being counted on the polyphony.

    Yes, it has all the different accompaniments / rhythm tracks. Those could all add up.

    Idk, then again, will I really need to play 64 notes all at once? I won't worry about the poly.

    Need maybe not...but you may want.
    I mean, if you are capable of coming up with your own tracks, you could make a really dense track that uses a lot of instruments and notes.
    Well, I play an 8 note polyphony synthesizer, and I am quite happy with it. But it doesn't play nothing "by itself", it is a really old, straight to the point instrument.

    I've never used one before, so this should be incredible. It's able to bend up to a full octave, is that standard, or above average?

    Yeah, it is an Yamaha DX27, which is like a deluxe version of the more famous DX7. Late eighties.

    Pretty standart. You will see that the further the bend wheel is set to go, the harder it is to stop in the note which you want to stop at.

    Oh yes, I actually saw one of them (used, obviously) in a music store once. I didn't know it at the time, but I just looked it up and there it was.

    Okay, thanks. I was figuring that, when you go too far, I would imagine it's out of your hand's "comfort zone," if you will.
  8. Alright guys, not posted on here in a little while.

    Not sure if this is the right topic for original stuff, but it's the only musician related thread I could find....

    Anyway, basically I've just kicked a new band off with a friend and as it's early days I'm just trying to spread the music and get a bit of feedback really. We've written a fair old lot of songs - about 16 or so - so far and recorded 6. Still trying to get a full band line up together but we've been keeping busy like that currently.

  11. yeh pretty much how they play it live at milan in 2005, mainly after help with effects and settings


  12. Baically just a long delay (about 430-440ms) with modulation, (usually edge's modulation settings imo are very fast and very low depth).
    Then you need a light overdrive for the main parts,
    a compressor if you want to get very technical and spot on, but a very transparent compressor sound,
    then a shimmer type sound, like from a verbzilla or eclipse.
    For the solo sounds you need a tube screamer on high settings

    That should be about it, as far as exact settings go, just feel it out. Tweak, tweak, and tweak, like other Edge guitarists have, and you'll find the right sound
